Which Injectable Is Right for Me?

JUVÉDERM®
Composed of a naturally occurring substance known as hyaluronic acid, JUVÉDERM® is primarily used to improve moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Results from JUVÉDERM® typically last six to eight months.
JUVÉDERM® effectively treats the following:
- Nasolabial folds (lines around the nose and mouth)
- Hollows under the eyes
- Thin lips
Dr. Pollack offers two versions of JUVÉDERM®: Ultra and Ultra Plus. JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is thicker than JUVÉDERM® Ultra and designed for deeper injections. During your personal consultation, Dr. Pollack will help determine which injectable will best meet your needs and desires.
BELOTERO BALANCE®
Also made of hyaluronic acid, BELOTERO BALANCE® is ideal for improving very fine lines and wrinkles. The results of this injectable typically last between six and twelve months.
BELOTERO BALANCE® effectively treats the following:
- Marionette lines
- Crow’s feet
- Wrinkles around the lips
Restylane®
Like JUVÉDERM® and BELOTERO BALANCE®, Restylane® is also made of hyaluronic acid and is used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and restore volume and fullness to areas of the face. Results from Restylane® typically last six to nine months.
Restylane® can effectively treat the following:
- Nasolabial folds (lines around the nose and mouth)
- Marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to the jawline)
- Lines above the upper lip
- Corners of the mouth
- Thin lips
RADIESSE®
Made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel, RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler not only fills in wrinkles and provides volume and lift to the face, but it also stimulates the body to produce collagen. Results from RADIESSE® typically last about one year.
RADIESSE® effectively treats the following:
- Nasolabial folds (lines around the nose and mouth)
- Marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to the jawline)
- Corners of the mouth
- Pre-jowl lines
- Chin wrinkles
- Acne scars
- Deep depressions of the face
Are You a Candidate?
Aside from having one or more of the conditions listed above, individuals who are best suited for treatments with injectable fillers should fit the following guidelines:
Be in good overall health: Patients should have no preexisting medical conditions that could cause an allergic reaction to the ingredients in the fillers.
Have realistic expectations: Although fillers can provide excellent results that are long lasting, it is important to remember that the results are temporary and less dramatic than surgical procedures such as a facelift.
