What to expect at your consultation:

Many new patients are nervous about their first visit to a plastic surgeon. We are here to make the process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for you. Dr. Pollack and his staff want you to feel like family.

At your first visit, you will meet with our patient coordinator, Kate, who will obtain some basic health information and history regarding your personal situation. You can ask any personal questions as well before meeting with Dr. Pollack. If you are visiting us for a body procedure, then Dr. Pollack will need to a brief physical exam (or facial exam for facial procedures). You and Dr. Pollack can then discuss all of your concerns and decide the best treatment plan for you.

After your visit with Dr. Pollack, you will be given all financial information including costs, financing options, insurance options (if applicable) and a packet of information to take home. Our goal is to ensure that you leave our office with the knowledge and confidence you were looking for in a surgeon.

What to expect in our surgery center:

The day of your surgery, you will check in at the Sharp Outpatient Pavilion on the campus of Sharp Memorial Hospital in Kearny Mesa. The award winning staff at Sharp is ready to take care of you through your entire surgical journey. We have options for private overnight rooms should you choose to stay the night after your procedure.

How to pay for surgery:

Surgery fees are paid in full prior to the procedure by cash, credit card, or patient financing. A $300 deposit is required to reserve a surgery date. The balance is then due in full at the preoperative appointment. Financing can be obtained through Care Credit by applying on their website: www.carecredit.com. We accept 6 and 12 months with zero interest plans as well as 24-60 month plans with interest.

How to research a surgeon:

Always ensure that your plastic surgeon is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. You can also check with your state medical society regarding board certifications.
